Insecurity: Patients Executed and Doctor Murdered

This week began with a surge in insecurity in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area. Flights to Haiti were canceled, several patients were executed aboard an MSF ambulance, and the tragic death of Dr. Deborah Pierre, a urologist, occurred on Rue Cameau.

Insecurity has been a constant issue in Port-au-Prince for several months, with daily tragedies. Between stray bullets in Nazon and the surrounding areas, and the numerous injuries in Solino, families are facing tragedy in silence.

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the grim hand of violence, controlled by armed gangs, struck near the clinic of Dr. Deborah Pierre’s family.
