A private plane from Sarah Express Airways, registered as N-400-04 EC, crashed in Miserne, a locality in Mercy, 5th communal section of Les Cayes. The accident claimed the lives of two people, the pilot and co-pilot, identified as Guy Emmanuel Saint Amour, an American citizen, and Hans Codio Blaise, a Haitian citizen. These details were confirmed by Claire Daphnée France, President of the Interim Municipal Commission of Les Cayes, following the assessment of the scene by a justice of the peace.
