On Monday, September 9, 2024, a state of panic gripped the Justinien University Hospital in Cap-Haïtien. Medical graduates and students from the Henri Christophe Medical School in Limonade were demanding more residency positions. This protest coincided with the grievances of students from the Higher Institute of Medical Technology (ISTMECH), who are advocating for a four-year study program and their integration into the State University of Haiti (UEH).
