Destruction of Makeshift Homes on the South Ravine Barrier

After giving a 22-day ultimatum, the South Department of the Ministry of the Environment (MDE) proceeded with the demolition of several makeshift homes on the embankment in the Renaud neighborhood, near the South Ravine Bridge connecting the city of Les Cayes to the southern coast, on Tuesday, July 6, 2024.
