Generally driven by the desire to replace their predecessors without a strong focus on improving upon their performance, Haitian authorities are increasingly losing the trust of the population. This pervasive attitude within the political class breeds doubt among citizens regarding the new leaders' intentions and capabilities to steer the country towards prosperity. This lack of confidence has adverse effects on economic growth and development, both of which require a climate of trust and stability to thrive
