Edgard Leblanc, from the January 30th agreement, was designated, this Tuesday, April 30, 2024, by a majority of four members to be the president of the Presidential Transition Council. The announcement was made during an official ceremony broadcast live on Haitian television.
Mr. Leblanc Fils will have a coordinating role within the Council, which was invested last week with the heavy task, among others, of attempting to restore public order in a country ravaged by gangs.
