President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador, who has managed to drastically reduce crime in the country with his iron-fisted approach against gangs, proposed on Sunday to "resolve" the security crisis in Haiti, where violence related to criminal gangs continues to escalate.
"We can solve things," he wrote on X, sharing a message about the crisis in Haiti. "But we will need a resolution from the UN Security Council, consent from the host country, and all mission expenses covered," he added.
