Protests Against Ariel Henry Lead to Looting and Fires in Gonaïves on February 7th

During the protests against Prime Minister Ariel Henry on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Gonaïves, members of the population looted a food supply depot and set fire to three buildings in the lower part of the city, including one housing the departmental office of the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE).

During the protests against Prime Minister Ariel Henry on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, in Gonaïves, members of the population looted a food supply depot and set fire to three buildings in the lower part of the city, including one housing the departmental office of the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE). Two cars were also set on fire. The furious protesters say that "only the Prime Minister will bear the responsibility for the acts committed by the demonstrators."
