President Pierre Buteau's Speech Marking the Centenary of the Haitian Society of History

The following are the remarks made by Professor Pierre Buteau on December 8, 2023, at a ceremony organized in conjunction with FOKAL at the Marriott Hotel to mark the centenary of the Haitian History Society, of which he is president.

Centuries are like trees, and so, according to Alexis, are peoples. They grow and develop until they solidify the traits of their personality.
