A hybrid energy system, consisting of photovoltaic solar panels, lithium batteries, and inverters, was inaugurated at Immaculée Conception Hospital in Les Cayes by the Ministry of Public Health and Population (MSPP) and the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation, and Communications (MTPTC) on Friday, November 10, 2023.
This project, aimed at ensuring a reliable power supply to this hospital often criticized for energy problems, was funded with $5 million from the World Bank.
