The Canadian Embassy in Haiti provided some clarifications on the new permanent residence program for citizens of Colombia, Haiti, and Venezuela following an interview with Ambassador André François Giroux. "Permanent residence will be granted to 11,000 foreign nationals from Colombia, Haiti, and Venezuela living in Central America, South America, or the Caribbean and having extended family in Canada," the embassy informed, correcting the earlier communication that mentioned 15,000 beneficiaries.
