An impromptu protest took place this Wednesday, May 31, in the departmental capital of Nippes to protest against the possible transfer of the government commissioner from the jurisdiction of Miragoâne, Me Jean Ernest Muscadin. This protest movement follows the spread of rumors that the favorite of the Nippes department would be transferred to Jacmel.
Starting from Chalon, the crowd, mostly composed of motorcycle taxi drivers, headed towards Berquin, passing through Carrefour Desruisseaux before reaching the city center.
