Members of the Kokorat San Ras gang fled on Thursday, April 27, 2023, in the face of an imminent raid by specialized units of the National Police of Haiti and assaults by local residents.
A police operation, supported by inhabitants of the surrounding areas, was expected to confront the gangsters who had vanished just in time, according to on-site witnesses.
The gang's base was ransacked and set ablaze by an angry mob, breathing out a bloodthirsty vengeance, triumphantly exulting in rage and shouting cries of victory.
