On his guard but in control of his stronghold in Tabarre, not far from the American embassy, Vitelhomme Innocent, 37, the powerful leader of the Kraze Baryè gang, spent over five hours with a CNN team.

In an interview with the American news channel, Vitelhomme Innocent, sanctioned by the USA for "serious human rights violations" and placed on the FBI's top 10 most wanted list for kidnapping and murder, did not deny the deaths, fires, rapes, or kidnappings committed by the gangs.
