The life of Liliane Pierre-Paul is a tapestry of sounds, meanings, and images. Our roots are intertwined. She hails from Petit-Goâve, specifically Les Palmes, where Da's coffee was born. My grandmother always praised the coffee from Les Palmes as the finest in Haiti, likening paradise to an immense coffee pot. I like to think that Liliane resides in every cup of coffee we savor these days. The pink salmon, journeying to Port-au-Prince, sailed the river of ink, coffee, and imprecations, reaching the garden of Les Palmes, where
