The government of the Bahamas has praised Kenya's decision to lead a multinational force in Haiti and has committed to sending 150 personnel to support the effort if the United Nations authorizes the force, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bahamas.
This announcement from the Bahamas' Ministry of Foreign Affairs follows the request made by the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, on Monday for Haiti's neighbors to join forces with Kenya. Kenya had previously declared its
