#OttawaPouAyiti organizes fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Matthew

On October 10, 2016, the Haitian Club at the University of Ottawa (CEHUO), together with the Collective of young Haitian entrepreneurs (CJEH) organized a fundraiser to help those affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.

The initiative called #OttawaPouAyiti, set up by Haitian youth, students and professionals, has two phases. The first they call "chain of solidarity" with traders Ottawa-Gatineau aims to invite traders to give a dollar for a week on services rendered or products sold and to hang the Haitian flag in their shops as a sign of support to the cause. The second phase was is called "cultural environment" with artists and public figures.
