In response to hurricane Matthew, Canada disburses more than $4 million for Haiti

On October 10th, a charter plane from Canada landed at the Toussaint Louverture International Airport, carrying 67 tons of emergency supplies (tarpaulins, tool kits, kitchen items, hygiene kits and containers for drinking water), according to a tweet from the Canadian Embassy in Haiti.

The Canadian government had already announced an initial 4.58 million USD of humanitarian aid to Haiti and Cuba, both affected by Hurricane Matthew. 4.08 million USD is for Haiti and $500,000 for Cuba.
