As was the case in all previous years, the feast day of St. Jacques and St. Philippe was the pretext for thousands of individuals from other areas of the country and international visitors to stay in the charming city of Alcibiades Pommeyrac.
Several festivals with the participation of folk and musical groups, artisanal and food fairs punctuated this multi genre event which, this year, was a huge success given the number of participants who made the trip.

The Minister of Tourism, Guy Didier Hyppolite, headed a delegation of executives from the Ministry’s communications and marketing departments as well as members of his cabinet which participated on behalf of the ministry in the festivities commemorating Jacmel’s 318 years of existence on April 30 and May 1, 2016.
