Carnival Party, the story behind the masks

On Saturday, January 30th, while some government officials and stakeholders of the annual Jacmel Carnival were throwing a cocktail party to launch the festivities for the Jacmel Carnival, others gathered à La Colinne Enchantée at Marigot where they experienced a distinctive side of Jacmel’s rich culture.

Chef Paul Harry Toussaint, Asù’s Excecutive Chef, and his wife, Macimala Roy, both Jacmel natives, stayed really attached to their local heritage even after spending many years abroad.
