According to the governor of the Central Bank, Charles Castel, the building of 6,000 square meters has been built to the highest seismic and hurricane standards, revised after the tragedy of 2010. Its concrete structure is based on more than 360 steel piles, and its design is the result of hard work of a team of architects and seasoned engineers who coordinated each step leading to the realization of this long adventure, from design to construction supervision.

Inauguration of the BRH convention and documentation center
On November 17th.the Board of Directors of the Banque de la République d’Haiti (BRH in French) inaugurated its convention and documentation center. According to the builders, this modern building marks an important milestone in downtown Port-au-Prince, since it is among the first public buildings to be rebuilt by integrating advanced technologies in terms of construction material.
