Chileans celebrate 205 years of independence in Haiti

The Chilean Independence Day was celebrated in style on October 2nd by Chileans living in Haiti. During an official reception, they commemorated the 205 years of the junta government, an entity that assumed the leadership of the country on September 18, 1810.

Before beginning the ceremony, the Ambassador of Chile in Haiti, Raul Daza Fernandez, along with other senior officials of the Embassy, welcomed the guests who visited the Hotel Montana (Petion-Ville) to attend the celebration. Members of the government and ambassadors representing other countries in Haiti and the Chileans residing in the country attended.
