Raising awareness on sickle cell anemia in Haiti

In Haiti, many patients die from this genetic, incurable disease or suffer subsequent complications. Yet this disease is not widely known in the country. To meet this health challenge, the first epidemiological study of prevalence of the disease will be conducted in Haiti in September 2015.
