Uniting against violence in schools by reading

On March 20th, lycée Jean-Jacques Dessalines of Port-au-Prince, together with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training /(MENFP in French) held their first book fair. More than a dozen high school students took part in this activity marked by the launch of the MENFP reading caravan on the theme "The book in the center of the high schools”

Jean Gérard Fleuriot, school director, explained the importance of this activity. According to him, the youth of today do not read contemporary authors.
