All guests unanimously agreed that the opening of the Marriot hotel will change Haiti’s hotel industry. The most poignant testimony came from Richard Buteau, president of the ATH. The owner of several hotels, he said he was very grateful that Digicel agreed to invest in this project. "Haiti has everything to gain. Haiti is now open to the world," said Buteau, who hopes this success can be replicated elsewhere in the country. Stephanie B. Villedrouin, Minister of Tourism, expressed her satisfaction for the opening of this hotel in Port-au-Prince
