Place Sainte-Anne: an inauguration that ends with a game of dominoes

On February 27th, President Michel J. Martelly, accompanied by Prime Minister Évans Paul and Pierre Richard Duplan, Interim Mayor of Port au Prince, conducted the inauguration of Place Sainte-Anne, rehabilitated after the earthquake of January 12, 2010.

For 16 months, the Haitian firm SOGEMART has undertaken the reconstruction of Place Sainte-Anne, under the supervision of the Unit for Housing Construction and of Public Buildings (ULCBP in French). Built on an area of 6687, 48 square meters, Place Sainte-Anne has four entrances and hosts the bust of Professor Emeritus Horatius Laventure. This work was funded by the Treasury, from the Petrocaribe funds with 54,221,000 gourdes.
