llNext, Ranne Lee, a woman of many talents, strolled onto the stage. Her omnipresence was instantly sensed, and her warm and powerful voice captivated the crowd. Lee, a Canadian, is not only a jazz singer and musician; she is also an actor, television host, educator, and an author. Her rich voice reminded me of Ella Fitzgerald, and her skating was spectacular.
Finally, Maya Azucena, from the U.S., held her own as she sang fiery tunes. Many believe that she is a cross between Aretha Franklin and Lauryn Hill. No small feat. Her powerful voice

On Sunday January 18th, Karibe was the place to be! Jazz connoisseur s and music lovers gathered at the spectacular Karibe Hotel to partake in the second event of a week packed with international and local jazz musicians. On this Sunday, audience members were treated to the smooth sounds and great talents. Sebastian Jordan, from Chile, showcased his talent as trumpeter and composer.
