IDB: 24 million to improve education in Haiti

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a new grant to expand access to education, improve student learning process, and strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Education of Haiti. It is the fourth of five planned contributions to support the 2010-2015 Operational Plan, which sets educational objectives for Caribbean countries.

llThe 2010 earthquake in Haiti destroyed more than 4,000 private schools and killed thousands of students.
