A workshop focusing on the rehabilitation project at Fort National was held

On Wednesday, December 3rd, the United Nations Regional Office for Project Services (UNOPS) organized a two-day workshop at Le Plaza regarding the rehabilitation of the Fort National neighborhood. This workshop aims to popularize the project in the community and to involve and educate the public. It also afforded an opportunity for organizations in the area to share their views on the project.

llThe Fort-National Rehabilitation project began a year ago. UNOPS organized the workshop at Le Plaza in order for the project to run smoothly. For the first day, many personalities were present, including representatives of the municipality of Port-au-Prince, DINEPA and SMCRS; all partners working closely with UNOPS. Participants debated about a variety of topics related to basic infrastructure such as building houses, roads sections, rehabilitation of the drinking water system, and installation of street lights.
