Crafts: cap on the international market

American Designer Donna Karan believes that Haitian crafts must be on the international market. It will not be possible without efforts to improve designs or without vocational schools to better train artisans.

llIt was a hot day on Saturday, Oct. 25th, at Parc Historique de la Canne à Sucre. Some ladies brought their fans to the 8th edition of Artisanat en fête. "We must invent the air conditioner in the open air," said Margaret Graham, in between Mr. Gomier, Albert Einstein and Frantz Duval, one of the coordinators of the event.
