Prime Minister L. Lamothe renews the Government’s commitment to promote Kreyòl

On October 28th, the 31st International Day of Kreyòl Language and Culture, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe renewed the Government’s commitment to promote kreyòl and consolidate its place in society as well as acknowledge its important contribution to the culture and literature.

llOn April 7, 2014, with the aim of strengthening the development and enhancement of the language, the Martelly/Lamothe government published the law on the organization and functioning of the Academy of Haitian Kreyòl. On this symbolic day of celebration, Prime Minister Lamothe reiterated the Government’s commitment to strengthening the teaching of Kreyòl in Haiti’s educational system and its use in science, technology, engineering and mathematics at the secondary level and higher.
