Haiti in the spotlight at Grand Palais

From November 19, 2014 to February 15, 2015, Haitian art will be featured at the Grand Palais in Paris. A historic journey through two centuries of Haitian artistic production will be offered to visitors to this prestigious institution. Emmelie Prophète: What would you like the public to know about this exhibition? Mireille Jerome (MJ): I would say that Grand Palais is one of the more prestigious institutions in France in regards to cultural activities. An exhibition on Haiti had been organized there several years ago, I think it was in 1988. This is the first time we will have a major exhibition that embraces all aspects of Haitian art.
