The meeting was an opportunity for some journalists to question the ambassador on major projects funded in Haiti by the Republic of China. Several issues related to political events were discussed.
The ambassador explained the essence of cooperation between the two countries. The projects and their costs were reviewed in detail. More than 10 million USD is being spent in Haiti on infrastructure projects and agriculture.

At the request of the Embassy of Taiwan, a courtesy meeting was held on September 19, 2014 between the members of Ambassador Hwang Tsai Chiu’s institution and dozens of Haitian journalists at the J and B Anchor Restaurant in Pétion-Ville. This meeting was held to build a relationship between the embassy and the Haitian press.
