New sources of support for Michaëlle Jean

Coveting the title of Secretary General of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF in French), Michaëlle Jean continues to vie for this prestigious position. The Haitian government supports the candidacy of the former Governor General of Canada to succeed Abdou Diouf. Several French entities are beginning to support her candidacy as well. She launched her website on Monday September 8th. She traveled to Tunisia on Thursday, September 11th, for an official visit to the African country, a continent critical to her election.
