Towards the creation of 46,000 temporary jobs

The Office of the Prime Minister of Haiti has released a special plan aimed at creating 46,000 temporary jobs in the agricultural sector during September-October 2014.

The Office of the Prime Minister of Haiti has released a special plan aimed at creating 46,000 temporary jobs in the agricultural sector during September-October 2014. These thousands will be employed through correcting gullies, riverbank protection, dredging of rivers, and rehabilitating rural roads. The Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Rural Development (MARNDR in French) is responsible for the execution of this plan and will invest 250 million gourdes to be drawn from the Treasury.
