FINCA Haiti set to partner with micro-entrepreneurs and Haitian farmers

FINCA Haiti, a subsidiary of FINCA International Group,gave a lecture on Monday August 24th, in Pétion-Ville, in honor of Rupert Scofield, President and General Director of the microfinance company which operates in 22 countries. He took the opportunity to announce a new branch next to St-Marc (Artibonite Department) and presents its progress as a financial partner for Haitian micro-entrepreneurs.

According to Marie-Marcelle Gérard, Executive Director of FINCA Haiti, the company has been established in Haiti for 25 years and provides financial services to low-income Haitian entrepreneurs to create jobs, build assets and improve the lives of their families. However, the institution has not always been a company providing loans to small purses. "Before, FINCA Haiti was an NGO. After being badly shaken by the earthquake of January 2010, it had to turn into a limited company. We went from ten branches to three branches after the earthquake;
