Training to save the environment of Haiti

The Ministry of Environment is counting on friendly countries to help some of Haiti’s environmental problems. Thanks to the Jimani agreement, several Haitian students received scholarships to study environmental management and environmental education at Piedra Blanca University in Jarabacoa in the Dominican Republic. Through this agreement, an even broader agreement, that of the biological corridor, which includes Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Cuba to strengthen the initiatives taken by the signatory countries for effective environmental management.

This program is mainly the promotion of environmental education and scientific research on natural, coastal and marine resources at Piedra Blanca, the National School of Environmental and Natural Resources Management.
