Final hurdle for the 21 Finalists

There are less than two weeks left before the final competition of Miss Haiti 2014! Since the beginning of July, aspiring contestants underwent an intensive program, following a hectic schedule to prepare for the grand finale of this prestigious beauty contest. Yoga, sports, dance, and workshops on politics, history and general knowledge were some of the sessions in which they participated.

The 21 finalists were made aware of major national social and environmental issues. Beginning in August, they visited the children of the Restavek Freedom Foundation, a foundation that fights against forced child labor in Haiti. Last week, they spent a day at the Wynn Farm learning about environmental issues. They also met with the girls of the YWCA organization whose objective is create social and economic change in the world. The candidates spoke to the girls about confidence, self-acceptance and the importance of cultivating inner beauty. T
