YMCA of Haiti rushes to the aid of the Dessalines youth

On Thursday, May 1, 2014, the Young Man's Christian Association (YMCA) opened the Jacques 1er Community Center in downtown Marchand Dessalines. Under the auspices of various tailored programs, this new structure is equipped with a library, auditorium, classrooms, and a playground.

Lecture Club, academic support, School management, English and dance classes, sports activities, and leadership training are among the activities available to the children and youth in the community. Summer camps will be organized to help the youth discover their personality and nurture their potential. Scholarships will be awarded to the needy.
